Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between you and Hugo Mostachfi, trading as Moosic (“Moosic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Moosic mobile application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

Moosic is a music theory and musicianship training application that provides interactive exercises, competitive matches, educational content, progress tracking, virtual coins, and cosmetic items. The App is available on iOS and Android.

Accounts

You must create an account to access most features of the App. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date where necessary. You must not impersonate another person or use offensive, abusive, misleading, or inappropriate usernames or display names.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, systems, or data;
• exploit bugs, automated scripts, bots, modified clients, or third-party tools to gain an unfair advantage;
• manipulate matchmaking, scoring, rankings, streaks, coins, or rewards;
• interfere with the normal operation of the App;
• harass, abuse, threaten, or disrupt other users;
• copy, reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with any part of the App except where permitted by law.

We may investigate suspected abuse, cheating, fraud, or technical manipulation. Where appropriate, we may reset scores, remove rewards, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts.

Subscriptions

Moosic offers an optional premium subscription (“Moosic Premium”) through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are managed by Apple or Google, depending on where you purchased your subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel the subscription through the relevant app store.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process subscription payments directly.

Virtual Coins and Cosmetics

The App includes virtual coins that can be earned through gameplay and used to purchase in-app cosmetic items.

Coins and cosmetic items:

• have no real-world monetary value;
• cannot be exchanged for money;
• are non-transferable;
• are non-refundable;
• do not represent property owned by you.

We may modify coin earning rates, reward systems, item availability, cosmetic prices, or virtual economy features at any time.

We may revoke, adjust, or remove coins, cosmetics, rankings, rewards, or other in-app items where they have been obtained through abuse, exploits, chargebacks, technical errors, cheating, or breach of these Terms.

Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including graphics, audio, text, names, icons, game mechanics, software, user interface design, exercises, and educational content, is owned by or licensed to Moosic and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on any part of the App without our written permission, except where permitted by law.

Availability and Changes to the App

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.

We may modify, suspend, remove, or discontinue features of the App at any time. Where changes materially affect paid features, we will try to provide reasonable notice where practical.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, use, profits, business, goodwill, or opportunity arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of your statutory consumer rights.

Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, misuse the App, cheat, abuse other users, interfere with the App, or engage in conduct that is harmful to Moosic, other users, or our services.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deleting your account will delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data, except where we are required or permitted to retain information by law or for legitimate business purposes, including fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, tax, accounting, or legal compliance.

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms in the App or by another reasonable method.

Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in a country or territory where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, you will continue to benefit from those protections. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
